_ Highlights from the Commissioner of works and infrasture's visit to Nnobi ._  On Wednesday, the 9th of September, Arch. Okey Ezeobi, the honourable commissioner for work and infrastructure in Anambra state, came to Nnobi partly to examine the nature and consequence of road dualisation projects through Nnobi  Moreover, he was here to stand on behalf of the state government to respond, condole and reason with Ndi Nnobi on the devastating impact of the massive destruction of shops and residential/ ancestral home of some indegenes . The PG Nnobi, Sir Aloy, was on the ground to lead the commissioner, asking curious and salient questions while making humble requests. 1. The commissioner expressed sympathy on behalf of the state government and took it a point of duty to talk to some of the affected indegenes  2. I, Chief Sir Aloysius Olubialu (PG Nnobi), is using this medium to thank Ndi Nnobi, who  stood by me today as I buried my mother inlaw today, late Mrs Esther Nwokolo, in Nkwere Umunnachi Your presence today at the burial event emboldened me and reduced the burden of sorrow, typically conversant with such an environment and  mourning situations.  I thank you immensely for the time spent, precious moments forgone, and the financial resources spent just to stand by me as my mother inlaw is committed to the soil according to our burial rites.  I thank my age grade, the Udo di mma Nnobi, for the significant presence at the burial event I am elated and  comforted May God bless you all I also extend my thanks to those who called in to console, who prayed, who admonished and  extended solidarity in any way. Video speak On behalf of Nnobi Welfare Organisation, I thank Ndi Nnobi for the successful event of 1 km road commissioning by the Mayor of Idemili South, Amaka Obi, the road fully constructed to federal government standard by High Chief Ikechukwu Azugo (Okenwa Idemlil) in Ngo Nnobi stretches from Umuagu down to Umuikechem Ndam village providing a smooth access and good road network connecting the villages to major roads. We appreciate Okenwa for the philanthropy and pray that God will reward him abundantly  In the event, for his love for education and human resource building, Okenwa Idemili also made a commitment to education by presenting a package of 3million (3m naira) education support fund through the umuikechem empowerment scheme. The fund aimed and was disbursed to students of tertiary institution selected from all the kindred in umuikechem for the offset of their tuition fees.
