Response on Prof. Yemi Osibanjo's CV ( vice president of Nigeria)
As a Nigerian who have observed the current lacuna in the presidency as it matters to professionalism, sensitivity to burning issues, reaction to national landslide economic decay and security challenges facing our dear Nigeria, i am yet to see the average impact of someone with such qualification in such exalted position within the presidency, let's remember, the VP is Manning the presidential economic team and unavoidably a member of the federal executive council which he presides sometimes.
Having being decorated with all those merits and honours, it's expected of the VP within the last seven years to act and advice the president on the best of tested administrative and economic terms suitable for a disparative demography like Nigeria. His exposure to wider legal and economic sphere of life should be of immense gain to the country since the last seven years. As I critically perused the CV severally some curious questions erupted in my mind;
1.why would the VP intentionally or unintentionally exist passively and insignificant for these past seven years only to now tell us what he will do after the eighth year if elected.
2.Are there forces undermining his salient disposition and brilliance.
3.As he made known through his declaration speech, to continue the good work of his master, is he contributing or refering to the current hardship bedeviling our country now.
4.Does it not occur to him that the current administration in which he is part of is not a good reference point to boast his ambition.
5.when will the VP accept that he failed as an elected second in command who swore to use the best of his ability to anchore an enduring and consistent progress to the country. When will he humbly request for our forgiveness before requesting our vote and confidence again.
6. If Professor Yemi Osibanjo is to win the next presidential election, what will he be saying of the immediate past regime especially the commander in chief.
7.Can it be believable that the VP planned to keep his ability low until now or when he is elected in the eighth year.
8. As a Pastor he said he is, is it morally right to keep mute when there is conspicuous nepotistic tendencies exhited by the current administration.
9. Considering the ethics and conduct of legal profession, how far have he influenced the federal government to adherence and respect to rule of law and separation of power.
10.Having being unable to hit and make an impact on the presidency when and now that he has a shot, how do he expect us to believe he will be different any other time.
