startegic meeting at pG residence on 11th June 2026
_Key points from the meeting anchored by the PG in his residence in Nnobi on Thursday 11th June 2026_
1. SECURITY INFORMATION UPDATE
The PG took time to highlight some valuable information and updates on security accordingly, as have been recorded from various meetings with the state government and their agents.
2. NNOBI SECURITY
Nnobi security, being the top priority issue, was discussed robustly, with reports, recommendations, and suggestions coming from participants. More emphasis was made on the moribund look of our central security and the urgent need for overhaul, reorganisation, proper funding, equipments and keen management with an enduring and stable flow of funds for sustainability.
Other key suggestions on security include
A. Need for a good security management committee
B. Job description , duties, deployment, and allocation of the security when properly reconstituted
C. Need for coordination and total collaboration of the Central security with village or quarter security
D. Security levy, model of contributions or collections, market security, hiring of security services for events, business and personal use, etc
3.ASHIA OLU 2026
After the Pg gave some key notes on the preparations for the annual event which ultimately stems from our constitution as a cultural celebration of Ndi Nnobi, participants made suggestions, recommendations, and emphatic references to shortfalls, mistakes, lackings, and drawbacks that emanate fron the previous Ashia Olu, while giving suggestions on how to waylay and mitigate them.
New ideas were also harvested from the responses of speakers on how to improve and elevate the beauty and value of the long aged cultural heritage beyond the conventional standard while still retaining the cultural backbone. There were discussions on public safety and the decorum expected from Ndi Nnobi (especially the masquerades) throughout the event, and plans to draw out taskforce to ensure compliance to set out guidelines and punishment.
4.IKPO JI
Chief John Ojukwu (Isiani Nnobi), who was a special invitee to the event, informed the participants the Ikpo Ji festival and ritual will be on 21st July, he elaborated that the event will occur as usual with the concluding part done at Ahọ.
He solicit for support for entertainment.
The population distribution, diversity, and composition of the meeting made it a formidable force drawn from all legitimate and organised systems of quarter cum village admins well forged to advise Ndi Nnobi.
