The prevailing hardship and economic down tone of our society has availed some criminals the avenue to device a lot of means to deceive people into fearful, curious condition that they easily send out their hard earned money to a stranger before realising its a scam and fraud. Below is the identified latest mode,trategy by these online and phone scammers which according to testimonies have affected many people.

1.Alert of an injured relative

There have been reports of where these criminals will call you claming to be your husband or wife and lamenting of his or her spouse being critically injured, the fraudster will complain of need of some fund for the medical team to resume life saving attempt on the injured who is totally down.

You know as a pathetic human, when you hear this sort of story, you will immediately ask of how much and request account number without even considering the voice and the identity of the caller. Let's be careful to always consult other relatives before sending money,if possible call the alleged victim who is said to be critical. It occurred to my inlaw and she nearly sent money while assuming it was me on the phone,but on a second thought she called my wife who was said to be critical,only to find out that my wife is at her place of work and ok.

2.Alert that someone brought your name,photo requesting your assassination  

Also some people have recieved panick calls from these scammers and blackmailers alleging that some wicked people had submitted your details to them to kill you through witchcraft and other fetish means, they will tell you how out of sympathy after admiring how  good you look in your photo and decided to contact you because they don't want your enemy to succeed, they will tell you to call them back so that they will guide you on what to do to stay safe. This sort of story will ignite a high tempo of fear and safety consciousness in any person, you know ordinarily you will be moved to call back to know more but recently it have been identified as a fraud tactics. When this happen to you, please calm down, first interrogate how the got your number, imagine why they dont want to satisfy their client since their job is to kill people. Also rebember that since they have decided to do otherwise against the wish of your enemy, no need requesting you to do anything again. In this case if you dare call them back they will give you list of spiritual materials needed to keep you safe. Also remember that you are a child of God who will only die when God wishes.

3. Threatening calls

This method is not new but it resurfaced again due to the security challenges prevailing in our society today, these coward fraudsters seized the opportunity and tapped on the fear of the people for the cult gangs, unknown gun men and other climinal syndicates to harasss people,instill fear in them and have them pay them some good amount of money. Some one natrated of how he was called by someone with heavy voice who identified himself as a member of the dreaded unknown gun men, the caller threatened him that he want him to move his business out of town or else there will be show down, he said that as a brave man who have also seen good and bad, wasted no time in furnishing the caller with harsh replies immediately with also serious threats, and that was the end of it. Someone also narrated of how they called and  promised to kidnap a member of his family if he dont give them a certain amount of money, consequent of the fact that he dont have the money he fearfully waited for the kidnap to happen before he got testimonies from others who also had the same issue but rebuffed it,it emboldened him and ,that was the end of it. Also someone reported of how he was called and told to pay a certain amount or else he wiil be killed, though this victim actually went to the police and filed a report, he also took some security measures, but eventually this faceless callers backed off when they observed that he is not coopoerating . Though there is tendency of some threats being real but as it matters now, 98% are meant to remotely instill fear, unsettle people into being curious and desperately yeilding to the unknown and eventually extort money from the victim.

Be conscious of these security issues and be mindful of the perpetrators who are always at work to dispose the vulnerable public of their money. Don't waste anytime in contacting the security agencies once you felt threatened by any means either through call or physical. Most atimes these  men from the shadows will ask if you are with someone,they will even advice you to make haste without telling anyone, the idea being to make sure the third person won't think otherwise.

4.panick call that a member of your family was kidnap 

One of prevailing methods employed by these faceless burries is in the case of phone loss, when they acquire a lost phone, they will immediately use your sim card to contact percieved and likely relatives in the sim  telling them that you have been kidnaped and will soon be killed if they dont provide money immediately through whatever medium they will profer. As stated above always contact widely with other concerned members of the family or relatives before concluding on what to do. There have been a case where a woman who lost her phone on her way to the farm was preemptively ramsomed by the thieves who picked the phone while the woman was actually busy in her farm unknown to her daughter who was called to provide one hundred thousand naira. Infact she had gathered the said money because she dont want her mum to die, but quickly it occurred to her consciousness that there is someone else who also went to the same farm, so she halted and paused the arrangement of sending money and called the other person in the farm atleast to know if he knew about it or how it happened, to the glory of God and to her overwhelming surprise she learnt from the man that her mother was busy with her farm happily and safe. So its better to seek the most popular opinion and decisions when such life threatening scenario occur, your emotions can overcrowd your sense of judgement and lead to regrettable consequences.
